- Disassemble the wheel cylinder.
- Reinstall the wheel cylinder and backing plate.
- Install lever, wheel cylinder pins, and shoes. Reinstall hardware and springs.
- Remove the old gasket material and apply the new material.
- Clean the brake drum and look for wear. Remove and replace the seals.
- Reinstall the brake drum (or replace it if needed).
- Remove the old gasket material from the axle and replace it. Then, reinstall the axle shaft.
- Tighten bolts and reinstall your tire and wheel.
